Choose a solution.
Start from a goal and a limited set of parts. A crane, ramp, lift, counterweight, or chain reaction may all work.
Playable now · Free steampunk physics puzzles
Finish a half-built contraption with brass-and-walnut parts, pull the lever, and watch real physics decide whether you were right.

Half-built on purpose
Each level gives you an unfinished contraption, a goal, and a chest of parts. Complete the mechanism, set it in motion, and see whether gravity, friction, balance, momentum, and mechanical advantage carry your idea through.
The answer is something you build rather than select. When a design fails, the movement itself becomes feedback: change a connection, reposition a part, or rethink the path and pull the lever again.
The build-test-understand loop
Start from a goal and a limited set of parts. A crane, ramp, lift, counterweight, or chain reaction may all work.
Slow down the mechanism, follow loads and motion, and discover whether geometry, timing, friction, or structure caused the failure.
Adapt the machine for a heavier load, a different mounting point, fewer materials, or an unexpected input.
The Works, Notebook & Sandbox
Progress through The Works and collect medals as the puzzles grow more demanding. Concept cards name the physics you just observed, building a Physics Notebook with 43 entries covering ideas such as gravity, friction, levers, pulleys, gears, and momentum.
A Sandbox mode opens through progress, giving you more room to experiment beyond the structured puzzles.
