From page to playable world

One farm.
Five different times.

The Inventor’s Odyssey adapts the book series of the same name into a world players can farm, build, explore, and investigate. The story, characters, and timeline grow from that literary foundation.

Rare blue crystals called starglass can read the imprint carried by an old object and take you to the place and moment it came from. Grandpa Joe discovered how it works—and disappeared into the past.

Keep the Miller farm running in 2026, search Cedar Creek for mementos and clues, and travel to 1876, the Dust Bowl of 1935, a family memory in 1956, and a clean-energy future in 2176.

1876The first settlers

Sod houses, open prairie, and the beginning of the Miller homestead.

1935The Dust Bowl

Drought, dust storms, and neighbors helping neighbors.

1956A family memory

A county fair and a four-year-old Grandpa Joe.

2026Home

Your farm, your friends, and the mystery you inherit.

2176The space age

Clean-energy farms and a spaceport reaching for the Moon.

What you’ll do

Build a life.
Follow the clues.

FARM & BUILD

Make the land your own.

Grow prairie crops, raise animals, shape the farm, and build homes, barns, windmills, and communities in different eras.

EXPLORE & SURVIVE

Start over in another time.

Arrive with a backpack and no money that works. Find food, shelter, useful materials, and enough starglass to return home.

RESEARCH & DISCOVER

Think like a historian.

Use letters, newspapers, records, photographs, museum finds, and the changing landscape to work out where Grandpa went.

Learning inside the adventure

History becomes
a place you live.

The Inventor’s Odyssey is planned around history, earth and space science, math, planning, reading, detective work, and practical skills. There are no quizzes separating the lesson from the game; knowledge helps you farm, travel, build, and solve the mystery.

The game remains in development. Planned platform support includes Windows, Mac, Linux, web browsers, iPhone, iPad, and Android. Features and platform plans may change before release.
